Job summary
American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) in Pittsburgh is seeking a Shore Tankerman to safely transfer liquid cargo between shore facilities and vessels. You will coordinate with vessel crews and terminal staff to ensure efficient operations while following safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications
- MMD Tankerman PIC (Barge) endorsement through USCG.
- Annual benzene physical and respirator fit testing.
- Ability to read/write to complete declarations and inspections.
- Proficiency in English as required by USCG CFR.
- Active TWIC badge required.
- Operate and maintain barge transfer equipment and safety gear.
Responsibilities
- Perform cargo transfer operations safely between vessels and shore tanks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations during transfers.
- Operate hoses, pumps, valves, and related transfer equipment.
- Maintain accurate cargo transfer records and incident reports.
- Coordinate with vessel crew, shore personnel, and terminal operators.
- Respond to emergencies and follow emergency procedures.
- Implement environmental protection measures to prevent spills.
- Follow pre-transfer inspection requirements and declarations.
- Perform minor repairs to barge equipment.
