Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across store operations and customer service. You will engage in cart operations, trash coordination, snow removal, and basic cleaning while supporting service desk and departments.

The role emphasizes teamwork, quick learning, and delivering above-and-beyond customer service in a fast-paced store environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or equipment.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns handling.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Coordinate with departments such as Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
