About the Role:

A dynamic opportunity for a highly experienced Shopify Solution Architect to lead the technical architecture, development, and optimization of an innovative eCommerce platform focused on gaming accessories. The role involves overseeing multi-region Shopify operations, driving platform innovation, and managing complex projects that align with strategic business goals.

This position requires deep Shopify Plus expertise, a successful track record in large-scale migrations (Shopify 1.0 to 2.0), and the ability to deliver scalable, integrated commerce solutions. It combines technical leadership with business collaboration to deliver impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shopify Architecture Leadership: Own the end-to-end Shopify architecture and technical direction for multiple storefronts.
• Platform Migration: Lead the migration from Shopify 1.0 to 2.0 and consolidate multiple regional stores for optimal performance.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, marketing, and business teams to align technical execution with strategic goals.
• Custom Development & Integrations: Lead the creation of custom Shopify themes, private apps, and third-party integrations (e.g., ERP, CRM, SaaS).
• Performance Optimization: Oversee technical SEO, site performance, and conversion optimization strategies.
• Team Leadership: Mentor onshore and offshore developers, enforce coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Innovation & Best Practices: Introduce and uphold modern eCommerce technologies, security standards, and DevOps methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of eCommerce platform experience, including 5+ years specifically in Shopify/Shopify Plus.
• Strong command of Shopify architecture, theme and app development, and API integration.
• Demonstrated experience leading successful Shopify 1.0 to 2.0 migrations.
• Skilled in integrating Shopify with ERP, CRM, and third-party business systems.
• Deep understanding of SEO, analytics, and conversion rate optimization for eCommerce.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Proven ability to lead complex, full-lifecycle eCommerce projects with business impact.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities for working with technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Shopify monitoring and alerting tools.
• Background in high-traffic eCommerce environments and omnichannel retail.
• Knowledge of advanced Shopify functions: payment gateways, shipping methods, inventory systems.
• Understanding of DevOps, site security, and CI/CD best practices.
