Wanco Inc. is seeking a Shop Welder in our Arvada, CO production facility.

Summary:

The Shop Welder fabricates components by analyzing requirements and successfully welding parts.

Responsibilities:

• Complete welding projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assemblies.
• Fabricate components using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces.
• Set up jigs and measure assemblies.
• Verify welding quality and accuracy by inspecting and testing welds.
• Complete required documentation.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following procedures and complying with regulations.
• Keep equipment operational by following operating instructions, performing preventive maintenance, and notifying management of issues.
• Participate in educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
• Assist in manufacturing and organizational goals by completing assigned duties.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of welding experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work Monday-Friday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm and Saturdays from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and operating hand or air tools, bridge ports, calipers, squares, and rulers.
• Physical ability to stoop, bend, lift, and reach frequently.
• Lift parts up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.

Reporting: This position reports to the Fabrication Manager.

Salary Range: $23-$25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
