Job summary

Tidal Vision seeks a meticulous Shop Technician in Ludington, MI to join the Execution team. You will help build production facilities, prep parts, and interpret basic CAD drawings while operating forklifts and other equipment.

This full-time, non-exempt role offers hands-on fabrication, welding, and collaboration with vendors and customers. Opportunities for growth align with our sustainability-focused mission.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a shop/warehouse or as machinist/welder/fabricator
• Familiar with PVC and metal work (welding, fitting, assembly)
• Knowledge of FCAW, GMAW and TIG welding processes
• Experience with safe use of a variety of hand and powered tools
• Experience with safe manufacturing practices in a production/shop environment
• Basic computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets, email)
• Ability to interface with customers and vendors in fast-paced environments
• Team player but able to work independently in a fast-paced setting
• Willing to travel up to 25% as needed

Responsibilities

• Operate within our Mission Driven Culture and encourage others to do the same
• Assist in building production facilities from the ground up
• Pull, prepare, and stage parts and equipment for system builds
• Read and work from basic CAD drawings, including construction documents and wiring/plumbing schematics
• Operate industrial equipment (forklifts, scissor/boom lifts)
• frequently use FCAW, GMAW and TIG welding processes
• Travel to different sites on an as-needed basis
