A-Gas is seeking a dependable Shop Technician to support the local team with cylinder preparation and refrigerant gas consolidation at our Hatfield Township, PA site. The role emphasizes cylinder fleet management, inbound/outbound handling, and adherence to EPA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Able to lift and move cylinders up to 75 pounds or more.
• Knowledge of the HVAC industry and refrigerant recovery preferred.
• Mechanical ability and strong organizational skills.
• EPA 608 License must be obtained within 14 days of employment.
• Excellent reading, writing and math communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the cylinder fleet for the shop location, including inbound/outbound cylinders, consolidation, inventory management, and tracking via cylinder management software.
• Implement and manage the Ready for pickup process for return to the reclamation facility.
• Receive cylinders, analyze refrigerant type, and perform consolidation.
• Operate electric pallet jack and liftgate.
• Assist technicians with loading and off-loading work trucks.
• Manage parts inventory.
• Keep a clean and organized workspace.
• Perform general maintenance on recovery equipment.
• Handle other technical duties related to the refrigerant workflow.
• Operate assigned equipment safely and comply with EPA regulations.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

• The primary function of this position is to manage the cylinder fleet for shop location; including inbound and outbound cylinders, consolidation of refrigerant between cylinders, inventory management, and tracking of cylinders through our cylinder management software.
• Implement and manage the Ready for pickup process that prepares the cylinders for pickup for return to the reclamation facility.
• Receive cylinders from technicians, analyze the type of refrigerant, manage and perform consolidation process
• Operate electric pallet jack & liftgate
• Assist technicians with loading and off-loading the work trucks.
• Manage parts inventory
• Keep a clean and organized workspace
• General maintenance on recovery equipment
• Handle various types of other technical duties relating to the work-flow process of refrigerants
• Ability to operate assigned equipment safely
• Follow all EPA regulations
• And any other duties that may become necessary from time to time.

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 21
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull cylinders that may weigh up to and more than 75 pounds
• Knowledge of the HVAC industry and experience handling Refrigerant/Recovery of HVAC gases are preferred but not necessary we will train you
• Mechanical ability
• Strong organizational skills
• Must have the ability to obtain an EPA 608 License within 14 days of employment
• Exceptional communication skills and, reading, writing, and math skills
