This position involves repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment and components, develop repair plans and sequences
• Determine necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
• Perform repairs safely and correctly, with quality assurance testing
• Complete reports for parts, tooling, daily service, and work orders
• Communicate repair progress with supervisors
• Manage parts and tools through company systems
• Maintain tools and shop equipment properly
• Use company vehicle and fuel cards responsibly
• Keep the work area safe and clean
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
• Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or four years of apprenticeship experience
• Classification based on experience, knowledge, and competence

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing duties, employees must sit, stand, walk, and use hands for handling. They must also reach, climb, stoop, kneel, lift, and crawl as needed. The environment may involve exposure to wet conditions, moving parts, fumes, outdoor weather, and noise.
