This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment and components, develop repair plans and sequences.
• Determine necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
• Perform repairs safely and properly, including quality assurance testing.
• Complete reports for parts ordering, tooling, service reports, and work orders.
• Communicate repair progress with supervisors.
• Manage parts and materials through the company’s systems.
• Maintain tools and shop equipment properly.
• Use company vehicle and fuel cards responsibly.
• Keep work area safe and clean.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or G.E.D., or an Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or four years of apprenticeship experience. Classification depends on experience and competence.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Requires sitting, standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and other physical activities. The work environment involves exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, weather conditions, and noise.
