This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. An Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience is preferred. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, and manual dexterity. Also involves reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise level ranges from moderate to loud.
