Job summary

Pape’ Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Shop Mechanic to service heavy equipment and agricultural machinery in our Ponderay, Idaho shop.

You will diagnose, repair, and rebuild engines, transmissions, carburetors, and hydraulic components while assisting with pre-delivery setup on John Deere equipment. You must have 2+ years of hands-on experience with small engines and relevant equipment, a team-focused attitude, basic computer skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of working knowledge of small engines, agricultural, & CCE equipment including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and air conditioning systems.
• Team-oriented personality with ability to work without direct supervision.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• As a Shop Mechanic, work on all makes and models of CCE, small gas engine, & agriculture equipment in the shop, ensuring repairs are accurate and timely.
• Analyze and diagnose malfunctions or failures in engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, hydraulic components, electrical, and air systems.
• Assist with pre-delivery setup and installation on John Deere equipment and allied products.
