Job summary

MS Directional, LLC is seeking a Shop Technician to assemble and test electronic components, clean and restock MWD kits, and perform electronic roll tests on MWD survey instruments in Conroe, Texas.

This role reports to the Shop Manager and emphasizes safety, shop organization, and cooperation with field teams in a dynamic shop environment. A high school diploma and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite of Applications.
• Live within 1 hour driving distance from Conroe facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate high temperature and electronic systems.
• Gather data while exposing circuitry to controlled elevated temperatures.
• Basis skills at operating lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, frequency counters and generators.
• Basic troubleshooting to identify failed components with little supervision.
• Clean and maintain MWD field kits and perform kit inventory control.
• Follow safety policies and keep the shop space clean and organized.
• Participate in meetings, trainings and development activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
