Job summary

Florida Rock & Tank Lines Inc. Tampa Terminal is seeking a capable maintenance technician for diesel fleet upkeep and preventive maintenance on tractors and trailers.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, use of hand tools, and lifting up to 70 lbs (team lift for heavier items). CDL Hazmat is preferred; candidates should be prepared for occasional overtime and may perform annual inspections.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of mechanical experience required.
• CDL Hazmat endorsement preferred for eligibility.
• Experience with air brake systems and ABS diagnostic knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to perform annual federal inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Must provide own basic diagnostic tools up to 1/2 drive.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tractors and trailers, performing repairs as needed.
• General knowledge and mechanical skills with reliable transportation.
