Job summary

4 Horn Power & HVAC is seeking a Shop Tech to support branch and clients in service projects and repairs of industrial equipment. The role ensures repairs and maintenance are performed efficiently and safely for rental equipment.

The candidate should have 2–5 years of experience as a service technician in the industrial equipment industry, own their tools, and be able to work independently or in a team environment. Physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repairs of all industrial equipment in the shop.
• Inspects and tests equipment to ensure safe operation prior to customer delivery.
• Acts as liaison between customers and branch departments to meet and exceed expectations for rental equipment maintenance and repair.
• Troubleshoots rental equipment to get it back online efficiently.
• Continues knowledge growth for company products, inventory, and delivery capabilities.
• Loads and unloads trucks and helps maintain accurate inventory.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Shop Tech position supports the branch, and client, in all service projects and repair of industrial equipment needs. This position ensures that all rental equipment repair and service project needs of the branch are conducted in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Must be mechanically inclined with mechanical & electrical background and knowledge of small to large equipment.
• Must have 2 – 5 years’ experience working as a service technician in the industrial equipment industry including - dirt / aerial / wheeled & track units.
• Must have your own tools
• Must be able to work independently, and in a team environment, to prioritize and accomplish assigned projects.
• Must be able to stand, sit, and kneel for long periods of time in all weather conditions
• Must be able to frequently lift 50+ lbs.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Performs maintenance and repairs of all industrial equipment in the shop
• Inspects and tests all equipment to ensure safe operation prior to customer delivery
• Act as a liaison between customers, and other departments of the branch, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in terms of rental equipment maintenance and repair
• Trouble shoot all rental equipment for most efficient way to get equipment back online
• Continuous growth of knowledge for all Company products, inventory, and delivery capabilities
• Load and unload trucks, working with management to maintain an accurate inventory
