Job summary

Impact Fire Services, LLC is seeking a Shop/Field Technician responsible for servicing and maintaining fire protection products brought in by Portables and Kitchen Systems Technicians. You will ensure equipment is in optimal working condition, complete tasks with a focus on quality, service, and safety.

You will manage time to maximize service and maintenance, meet weekly productivity goals, and keep a clean, organized workstation.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn servicing and maintaining fire protection products.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment background, MVR and drug test.
• Ability to work safely and follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Neat, organized appearance and strong work ethic.

Job description

This position reports to the Fire Extinguisher Manager and is responsible for servicing and providing regularly scheduled maintenance on fire protection products as brought in by Portables and Kitchen Systems Technicians. Shop Technicians work to ensure any piece of fire protection products maintained by our company is in the best possible working condition, complete tasks assigned by the manager while maintaining focus on quality, service, and safety objectives. The Technician will be expected to meet weekly productivity goals. The Technician is also responsible for maintaining a clean, well-organized workstation and ensuring a safe environment for his/her-self and co-workers.

Responsibilities include

• Manage their time to complete the maximum amount of service and maintenance.
• Achieve any weekly productivity goals assigned by the manager
• Protect and maintain company equipment.
• Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including the driving, personal
• protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.
• Protect the Company’s Assets.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the manager

Qualifications include

• Ability to learn required processes for servicing and maintaining a variety of fire protection
  products.
• A valid driver’s license and a current and sustainable good driving record.
• Ability to perform physical activities outlined in accompanying physical requirements checklist.
• A strong work ethic and professional appearance.

• Working habits and personal appearance which are both neat and well organized.
• Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Applicable experience in the fire protection industry.
• A basic level of competency and comfort with mechanical fittings, hand tools, and power tools and other light machining equipment.
