Job summary

Vault Pressure Control, LLC is seeking a shop technician to assemble and test pressure control assemblies in a hands-on, safety-conscious environment in Midland, TX. The role involves documenting tests, moving components, and supporting fellow technicians.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, active US work authorization, forklift certification, and at least 1 year in an oil/gas shop (valves preferred). Medical benefits begin on Day 1.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and tests assemblies per Vault Pressure Control specifications.
• Completes required test documentation including test reports, NCRs.
• Cleans up components after assembly per specifications.
• Inputs labor details in the time tracking system and charges time to projects.
• Lifts and handles parts up to 30 pounds; frequent standing and movement.
• Assists other shop technicians as assigned and follows safety procedures.

Essential Functions

• Assembles and tests assemblies per Vault Pressure Control specifications. Applies and develops basic skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment.
• Completes required test documentation including test reports, failed test reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
• Cleans up components after assembly per Vault Pressure Control specifications and verbal or written instructions.
• Inputs labor details in time tracking system, charges time to projects.
• Uses material handling equipment to move parts and components from one work or storage area to another as required.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area. Practices good housekeeping in work area.
• Learns procedures and practices safety in all aspects of job.
• Assists other shop technicians as assigned in more advanced functions as part of training.
• Frequent standing for long periods of time, bending, reaching and lifting required.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Experience / Knowledge

• High School diploma or GED
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Current forklift certification
• At least 1 year experience working in oil/gas shop, preferably with valves

Work Environment

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical components, airborne fumes, and particles
• Exposure to heat, cold, wet and snow conditions
• Moderate noise levels
