Job summary

Komatsu America Corp. in Mesa, Arizona seeks a skilled heavy equipment mechanic to perform repair, inspection, disassembly, assembly and rebuild work on shop-tested components, with a focus on electric drive haul trucks and electric shovels.

• 2+ years in mining or construction equipment industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair, inspection, disassembly, assembly and rebuild work on heavy equipment components in the Shop.
• Work on mechanical portions of components related to electric drive haul trucks and electric shovels.
• Support shop repair and remanufacturing work; inspect components for wear, damage or required repairs.
• Use mechanical aptitude and shop experience to troubleshoot and complete assigned work.
• Follow safety, quality, and shop procedures.
• Collaborate with shop leadership and team members to complete jobs efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs.
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
• Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis.
