Job summary

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is seeking a Shop Technician in East Moline, IL to service and repair mobile heavy equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose engine, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate may have technical training with diesel/engine repair; prior experience is preferred but not required. Benefits include medical, dental, life, 401(k), and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Technical or Associates in Diesel Engine Repair or Automotive Technician Diploma.
• Prior experience is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of DC electrical troubleshooting process and operation.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system structure, function, and operation.
• Knowledge of diesel engine operation and aftertreatment structure, function and operation.
• Able to work responsibly, safely, and intelligently.
• Have the desire to take action, improve, and be appreciative.
• Possess the capability to engage with customers, co-workers, and vendors in a respectful manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on all types of mobile heavy equipment.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairing Tier IV Interim and Tier IV Final engine complaints.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair to various types of mobile equipment hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of basic DC electrical systems

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for a Shop Technician to join its team at its East Moline, Ill location. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing various types of mobile heavy equipment.

Minimum Physical Requirements:

• Push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Lift/carry up to 60 lbs
• Lift bulky objects
• Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, high steps, fingering/grasping.
• Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
