Select Water Solutions is seeking a Shop Technician to perform daily shop tasks, maintain and service equipment, and communicate with foremen to keep operations safe and reliable.

You will load and unload materials, operate tools and equipment, and assist craftsmen, with attention to safety and weather conditions. This role offers full-time hours, paid training, uniform allowance, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, identify materials and distribute to locations per plans.
• Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specs for work activities.
• Tend to pumps, compressors and generators to provide power.
• Lubricate machinery, equipment, or parts.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, ramps.
• Operate hand and power tools as required.
• Keep construction sites and tools clean and safe.
• Perform stick-picking, shoveling, backfilling excavations.
• Work at heights and in varying weather conditions.

Job Description

Select’s Shop Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently conducting the daily shop assignments; including the repair, maintenance, serviceability, and record keeping of equipment as assigned. This position will work closely with each Shop Foreman or Operations Manager in communicating equipment condition, repair status and equipment maintenance scheduling to ensure the safe and reliable operation of Select Water Solutions assets.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to

• Load, unload, and identify materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
• Store and stack material.
• Provide assistance to craft worker.
• Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Tend to pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment, or to heat and move materials.
• Lubricate machinery, equipment, or parts.
• Position, align, or level machines, equipment, or structures.
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
• Clean tools, equipment, machinery & work areas.
• Perform 'stick-picking', shoveling, compacting and back filling excavations.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, ramps, and other temporary structures.
• Operate hand and power tools.
• Operate power construction equipment, hoist or winch.

Compensation Information

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Physical Demands and Exposures

• Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
