Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance and repair of electrical transformers and related equipment.

• Safe and proficient forklift operation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, safety guidelines, and schematics.

• Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Previous shop/manufacturing/industrial experience preferred but not required.

Role Description

The Shop Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Alvin, TX. This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repair on electrical transformers and related equipment, including inspecting, cleaning, testing, and assembling components in a shop environment. The Shop Technician will operate heavy equipment and forklifts safely to move and position transformers and materials, while following all safety procedures and company policies. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing work orders and documentation, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and communicating with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow. The role supports efficient, high-quality service delivery to customers and contributes to continuous improvement in shop operations.
