Job summary

Douglas Water Conditioning in Waterford Charter Township is seeking a Shop Technician who can also perform local deliveries. You will create delivery orders, load salt, bottled water, and filters, and verify customer signatures and payments at the time of delivery.

This role combines shop duties with customer-facing tasks, requiring reliable service, basic tool use, forklift operation, and the ability to lift 40–80 pounds.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs on a regular basis.
• Must pass a background check and have a clean driving record.
• Chauffeur's license and DOT card are a plus.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Create the delivery order for salt, bottled water, and filters.
• Deliver to residential and commercial customers, obtain signatures.
• Collect payment at time of delivery and verify billing address.
• Change filters when deliveries are scheduled.
• Maintain premises cleanliness and prevent spills.
• Provide ETA updates to customers as requested.
• Submit delivery tickets to CSRs with accurate charges and signatures.
• Assist around the shop with admin and technical tasks.
• Assist with monthly delivery truck inventory.
• Load and unload stock from trucks; clean company vehicles.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
