Job summary

Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing is seeking a Shop Support to join our team for Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. The Shop Support ensures safe, efficient operation of the service shop, maintains cleanliness and organization, and embodies our Speed, Value and Trust values in every interaction.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a CDL, strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple demands and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily and weekly safety checklists.
• Assist shop staff with equipment and tool requests.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the tool room.
• Drain oil pan carts into the oil waste barrels.
• Monitor tool in/out procedures.
• Assist with special projects in the shop.
• Perform cleaning projects including hazardous waste management.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.

Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing (VTRL) is looking for a Shop Support to join our team for following hours: Monday-Friday between 8:30am-5:00pm!

What You’ll Do:

The Shop Support will be assigned various duties that will be essential to the safe and effective operation of the shop. The Shop Support is responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the service shop to ensure a safe work environment. The Shop Support must demonstrate behaviors consistent with company values - Speed, Value, Trust - in all interactions with customers, coworkers and vendors.

Job Duties:

• Complete daily and weekly safety checklists and inspections
• Assist shop employees with requests for equipment and tools
• Maintain a clean and organized shop
• Manages day-to-day operations of the tool room
• Drain oil pan carts into the oil waste barrels
• Monitors tools check in and check out procedure
• Assists with special projects in the shop such as foot printing
• Perform cleaning projects including the management of hazardous waste
• Perform job related duties as assigned and needed

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Applicants must have a commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple demands, prioritize and stay organized
• Ability to work well in a process driven and fast paced environment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to pass post offer drug test, physical and background checks

Compensation:

• $24-25/hourly (depending on experience and qualifications)
• Full Time position
