Job summary

NextDeavor is seeking a Shop Support to keep operations running and support production teams. This onsite role on 1st shift (3:00 AM - 11:30 AM, Mon-Fri) will impact assembly, inspection, and site readiness.

Responsibilities include tooling, material purchase, dimensional checks, and safety compliance. Requires practical shop skills, reading sketches, and ability to use calipers and micrometers. Benefits include health, vision, dental coverage, sick leave, and an optional 401k.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen (citizenship status required in notes/comments).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read manufacturing sketches and safety criteria.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers and height gauges.
• General knowledge of abrasive media and burr removal.

Responsibilities

• Perform snow removal in parking lots and support facilities or production work as needed.
• Provide general support for assembly, fit, weld, forming, or machine operator functions.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and report issues.
• Purchase materials following policies, optimizing price and delivery terms.
• Follow instructions; check dimensions with inspection devices.
• Perform sanding, trimming, deburring, polishing, drilling, punching.
• Clean metal parts via wiping, solvent washing, and chemical cleaning as required.
• Work safely per standards and PPE; train others where applicable.

Become a Key Player as a Shop Support

You will help keep operations running by performing shop support and facility tasks that enable production and site safety. Your work directly impacts assembly and production teams, quality inspection outcomes, and daily site readiness. This is an onsite role on 1st shift (3:00 AM - 11:30 AM, Monday-Friday).

Here’s How You'll Make an Impact on the Team

• Perform snow removal in parking lots and support additional facilities or production work as needed
• Provide general support for assembly, fit, weld, forming, or machine operator functions
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and detect/report faulty operations
• Purchase materials, parts, supplies, and equipment following established purchasing policies while optimizing price, delivery, and terms
• Follow written instructions and sketches; check dimensions using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection devices
• Perform sanding, trimming, deburring, polishing, drilling, punching, and related tasks using hand and power equipment as trained
• Clean metal parts using processes such as hand-wiping, solvent washing, and chemical cleaning as required
• Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures and demonstrate proper use of PPE
• Work under direct oversight and, where applicable, train others based on job experience

Here’s What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role

• Must be a US citizen (must state citizenship status in notes/comments)
• Valid Driver's License
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• General working knowledge of abrasive mediums and grits and demonstrated skill removing burrs without excessive gouging
• Ability to read and understand precautions, safety criteria, mix ratios, and manufacturing sketches
• Ability to use mathematics relevant to shop support functions
• Ability to learn machine tools and precision instruments; good manual dexterity
• Ability to follow written instructions and stop/ask for clarification when needed

Pay Range

$20.00 - $25.00/hour
