What You Will Do
- Contribute to a positive work environment and promote the vision, mission and values of BMC.
- Complete all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promoting a safe and healthy workplace.
- Require a basic working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.
- Manage work in process for timely and correct invoicing.
- Provide accurate estimates on cost and completion times of repairs.
- Manage department expenses and maintain acceptable profitability.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers and technicians.
- Committed to the development and training of employees for departmental growth.
- Ensure total customer service.
- Must complete proper paperwork as assigned.
- Prepare parts requisitions, time cards, part returns, accurate and complete service reports and other necessary reports and forms.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- 3+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing diesel equipment.
- Shift work, weekends and/or 24‑hour call may be required.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures is preferred.
- Organizational and time management skills required; must set and keep priorities and professionally handle the stress associated with a fast‑paced industry and deadlines.
- Must be a team player that is enthusiastic and hardworking with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision.
- High degree of interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess personal discipline to establish the proper image as a representative of Blanchard and work professionally with customers.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and be detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Working Conditions
- The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside throughout the day.
- Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
- Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning and lifting.
- Must be able to lift varied weight.
- Seeing, reading, and writing are required to complete job responsibilities.
