Job summary

Interlock Steel Structures in Missouri is seeking a Steel Shop Cutter to join our structural fabrication team. This role involves cutting, punching, and preparing steel components for our hybrid wood-and-steel building systems.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to read and interpret blueprints, and takes pride in quality and craftsmanship. You will operate shop equipment, load and unload semi-trucks, perform general maintenance, and keep a safe, organized work area while collaborating

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in steel fabrication and reading blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings with attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and reliable teamwork.
• Willingness to handle multiple tasks and cover roles.

Responsibilities

• Cut and punch structural steel parts to specifications.
• Operate shop equipment including forklifts, band saws, punches, iron workers, presses brakes, and drill presses.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Load and unload semi-trucks.
• General shop maintenance and outside yard cleanliness.
• Maintain safe and organized work practices.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Steel Shop Cutter to join our structural steel fabrication team. This position involves cutting, punching, and preparing steel components used in our innovative building systems. Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in steel fabrication (band saw, shear, iron worker)
• Proficiency with shop tools (tape measure, square, wrenches, scribe)
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings
