CTR Group in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Shop Sheetmetal Mechanic local to the area for immediate openings. Immediate openings and urgently hiring!

You will read blueprints, cut and shape metal, weld or rivet, align structures, and operate shop equipment to fabricate foundations and lockers. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced shop environment offering weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Read and follow blueprints, drawings and instructions.
• Experience in metal sheet fabrication with welding or riveting.
• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment safely and accurately.

• Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions.
• Use hand tools and power tools/equipment including drills, rivet guns, grinders, and saws.
• Measure, cut, shape, and join metal sheets using welding, soldering, or riveting.
• Align structural iron and steel vertically and horizontally using lines, plumb bobs, lasers, and levels.
• Connect iron and steel with bolts, wire, or welds.
• Prepare and install foundations and lockers.
• Operate hand brakes, power rollers, hand rollers, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.

CTR Group is seeking a Shop Sheetmetal Mechanic local to the Norfolk, VA area. Immediate openings and urgently hiring!

RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

• Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions.
• Use a variety of hand tools and power tools/equipment to include drills, rivet guns, grinders, miter saws, band saws, nibblers, plasma arc cutters, rollers, shears, press brakes fabricators.
• Measure, cut, shape, and join metal sheets using methods like welding, soldering, or riveting
• Align structural and reinforcing iron and steel vertically and horizontally, using tag lines, plumb bobs, lasers, and levels.
• Connect iron and steel with bolts, wire, or welds.
• Prepare and install foundations and lockers.
• Must be able to operate hand brake, power rollers, hand rollers, general sheet metal fabrication equipment.
