Job description

Holt CAT in Little Elm, Texas is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment-Shop Service Technician. This position is responsible for providing high-quality repair services on heavy equipment in a shop environment, responding to customer needs positively, and ensuring maximum value for work performed. Must have 3 years of experience with heavy construction equipment. The hours are Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform complex repairs on pumps, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • At least 3 years of troubleshooting and repair experience with heavy equipment such as dozers, backhoes, loaders, excavators, etc.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair equipment using electronic and manual tools.
  • Experience with Tier 4 Final Emissions Systems and Exhaust Gas Recirculation Systems.
  • Proper documentation of work orders.
  • GED or High School Diploma preferred; Diesel Tech Schooling highly desired.
  • Steady employment history and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license.
  • Physical ability to reach, bend, walk, lift 50 pounds multiple times daily, and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail, attendance, and efficiency.
  • Own tools are required.
Additional Information:

Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM, with a high energy level and limited supervision.
