Job summary

Crown in Norfolk, VA seeks a skilled lift truck technician to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and other makes. You will perform planned maintenance, handle paperwork after each job, and contribute to welding and fabrication tasks in a customer-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes, ability to read schematics, and good communication skills to support customers.

Qualifications

  • Less than 2 years related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
  • Read and understand service manuals.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and engines (gas/diesel).
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Industry related training is a plus.

Job description

  • Ability to safely operate lift trucks.
  • Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand service manuals.
  • Industry related training.
