The Shop Porter position is responsible for working in the shop supporting the technicians and maintaining the shop by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, clearing debris throughout, empty trash, and other tasks as needed. This position requires you to assist with special projects or duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities (include, But Not Limited To)

• Sweep, shovel, or vacuum loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and remove from work areas
• Takes direction from Lead Technician.
• Responsible for following company safety rules. Reports any concerns to the Lead Technician.
• Keeps the shop floor and yard organized
• Running parts and supplies for the shop
• Move equipment to various areas in the shop and yard as needed/requested
  
  

Other Duties

• All other duties or special projects as assigned.
  
  

Physical Job Demands

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stoop, squatting, sitting, and, driving etc. Excessive noisy shop environment, exposure to welding flash, fumes, oil/grease/dirt, solvents, and non-controlled seasonal temperature variations.
  
  

Requirements (include, But Not Limited To)

• Experience working in a mechanic shop is a plus
• Clean driving record
• Desire to learn and expand responsibilities
