Job summary

Aquatech is seeking a full-time Assembler for our Canonsburg, PA location. The role requires reading mechanical drawings, using power and hand tools, and leveraging measuring devices to ensure precise fit and finish.

You will work as part of a team in an industrial setting and support safety practices on site. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of mechanical/industrial experience, strong math skills, and a proactive, safety-conscious attitude.

Qualifications

Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Assembler to work in our Canonsburg, PA, location. The Assembler will perform the duties described in the job description below, and will be considered a Non-Exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have a high sense of awareness in the workplace, regard safety as a high priority, have basic knowledge of tools and equipment, be team-oriented, and be customer service-driven. This candidate will also have experience in hands‑on manufacturing, preferably in an industrial setting.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two (2) or more years’ experience working in a mechanical and industrial environment.

Job Description

• Able to read mechanical drawings (knowledge of piping a plus)
• Strong math skills (working with both fractions and metrics)
• Attention to detail (work demands high tolerances, fit, and finish)
• Ability to problem solve (interpreting drawings and spatial relationships)
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to demonstrate mechanical skills such as:
  • Use of power tools: drill, press, band saw, cut‑off saw, pipe threader, electric drill, etc.
  • Use of measuring tools, such as a tape measure, spirit level, plumb bob, etc.
  • Use of hand tools, wrenches, ratchets, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.
• Must maintain a positive attitude, communicate well with others, and be an effective team member.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Take appropriate measures to ensure safety in the workplace. Attends monthly safety meeting as required.
• Notifies manager immediately (within 24 hours) of workplace injury and ensures appropriate policies and procedures are followed.
• Reports potential safety hazards immediately to the manager.
• Other duties as assigned

Skill Requirements

• Must have mechanical aptitude in an industrial work environment.
• Welding experience a plus
• Electrical experience a plus
