Job summary

MGB Manufacturing, LLC is seeking a Shop Mechanic 1 to perform maintenance and repair tasks on machinery, equipment, and vehicles in the shop. The role requires a basic mechanical skillset and the ability to assist with inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs under supervision.

The position supports safety and reliability of manufacturing equipment, with duties including routine maintenance, diagnostics, and component replacement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in mechanics or a related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on manufacturing equipment, tools, and vehicles.
• Assist in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in various equipment.
• Replace worn-out or defective parts and components such as hoses, belts, filters, etc.
• Keep records of all maintenance work, inspections, and repairs completed in the shop.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery as required.
• Report any major repairs needed to the Shop Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.
• Support senior mechanics and collaborate with the team to resolve mechanical problems.
• Use appropriate hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to MGB Manufacturing’s standards of quality and safety in all work performed.
