Florida Crystals Corporation is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic for our Sugar Farms Agriculture Shop in South Florida. The role focuses on heavy diesel and ag equipment repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with responsibilities spanning reading manuals, assembling parts, and welding as needed.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in heavy diesel/AG equipment repair, ASE certifications preferred, and the ability to work in heat and dusty environments.

Qualifications

• Read service manuals, parts manuals, safety guidelines and procedural manuals.
• Maintain excellent mechanical aptitude; apply critical thinking and problem solving.
• Five plus years of heavy diesel/AG equipment repair experience required.
• Able to pass aptitude tests and background checks; ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy diesel and agricultural equipment repair/maintenance.
• Handle day-to-day maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Read schematics, service and parts manuals to troubleshoot.
• Diagnose with tools including computer diagnostics and precision ag gear.
• Order and maintain parts lists; ensure accuracy and availability.
• Welding and fabrication work when needed; maintain safety first.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and own tools; comply with safety rules.
• Work in adverse conditions (heat, dust, tropical elements).
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
