Job summary

United States Sugar Corporation is seeking a Farm Mechanic III to safely maintain, service, and repair sugar cane farm equipment in a fast-paced, team-based environment. The role involves diagnosing breakdowns, performing scheduled inspections, and ordering parts using a computerized maintenance system.

Qualifications include at least 2 years in mobile equipment maintenance, MAC/609 and forklift certifications, a valid Florida driver’s license, and English language skills for safety

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of work experience in the mobile equipment and/or vehicle maintenance field
• MAC/609 certification within 90 days of job award
• Forklift certification within 30 days of job award
• Must obtain a valid Florida driver’s license Class E or above
• Must read/write/speak English to communicate and ensure safety
• Must complete orientation and ongoing training courses

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain farm equipment such as Harrow Disc, Plow, tractors, air compressors
• Perform time-based repairs and inspections
• Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
• Change parts and components on equipment
• Operate forklift and other mobile equipment
• Follow proper rigging procedures and safety practices
