Job description

Shop Mechanic, Equipment Operator & Irrigation Technician (Grand Marsh)

Salary: $18 - $23 hour

Overall Responsibilities: Tillage and planting with a modern fleet of equipment; well and pivot repair, along with various other tasks depending on the season. Normal hours are Monday to Friday 7 am - 4:30 pm.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain and Repair field and irrigation equipment
• Communicate and coordinate with farm manager regarding work flow scheduling and field preparation
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Other duties as required and assigned

Skills & Attributes:

• Have large tractor driving experience with modern implements
• Experienced following a preventive maintenance plan on multiple types of equipment
• Are comfortable with longer hours involved in peak season farming operations
• Have knowledge of basic electrical trouble shooting
• Are willing to learn
• Dependable and able to prioritize competing priorities
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results
