Job summary

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is seeking a Shop Service Tech to diagnose and repair material handling and construction equipment at the local branch. You will work with the Service team to restore units to operation and safety standards.

This role focuses on hands-on mechanical work, clear updates to sales, coordinators, managers, and customers about downtime and progress, and safe work practices with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical training/education and/or related field experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain equipment operator certifications.
• Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics.
• Above average communication skills.
• Possessing or ability to obtain complete line of tools.

Responsibilities

Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with mechanical knowledge and communication skills to join our team as a Service Tech in the shop. ABOUT THE POSITION

Shop Service Techs function as part of the Service team and are responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of material handling and construction equipment.

In this role, you will:

• Troubleshoot and Repair a variety of equipment at the local branch to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
• Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
• Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision, to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards.

REQUIREMENTS
