Brothers RDC Paving LLC is seeking a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to repair and maintain trucks, heavy paving equipment and fleet vehicles. The role includes identifying issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safe operation through road tests.

The ideal candidate has extensive repair knowledge, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and a high school diploma or equivalent, with vocational training and experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain company fleet vehicles and heavy paving equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Identify mechanical problems using diagnostics and visual checks.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning parts such as brakes, pumps, belts and transmissions.
• Plan timetable to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Visit job sites to inspect vehicles and test drive for safety.

The Motor Vehicle Mechanic will perform repair work and maintenance for trucks, heavy paving equipment and other motor vehicles in the company’s fleet.

• Maintains vehicles, which may include a company fleet of trucks, heavy paving equipment, tractor/trailers, and other paving motor vehicles.
• Performs routine and preventive maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Performs tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function.
• Identifies mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment.
• Examines critical parts and systems using a standard checklist.
• Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical parts.
• Plans and establishes timetable to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Visits job sites to inspect vehicles.
• Test drives vehicle to confirm safe and proper operation.

Qualifications (Experience, Education & Certifications, Key Attributes):

• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair.
• Excellent mechanical repair skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field required.
• Two years of related experience preferred.
• Commercial Driver’s License may be required.
