Job Overview:

The Manicurist performs manicures and pedicures for our clients.

They must learn and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of our proprietary techniques, excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills. They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn and retain the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our clients. They must hold and maintain a current state license as may be required.


Essential Functions:

  • Perform manicures and pedicures with precision for each client.
  • Assess any hand/foot problems or conditions, and suggest appropriate treatment based on current health of guest.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the shop’s policies and procedures.
  • Recommend retail products for clients’ at-home usage.
  • Ensure clients feel welcome when they arrive for their appointments.
  • Maintain shop appearance and cleanliness.
  • Stock and maintain stations according to standard operatingprocedures.
  • Promote and up-sell products and services.
  • Ensure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the shop.
  • Assist with washing and folding of all linens used in the shop.
  • Arrive prior to start of shift with enough time to prepare for the day
  • Maintain and increase knowledge of product lines by attending new promotions, in-house instruction, and education/training classes.
  • Assist in all areas of shop operation as requested by management.
  • Uphold Company's quality and standard

Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a dynamic shop environment.
  • Supply and maintain professional tools in working order and free of rust- Nail clippers, cuticle nippers, cuticle pusher.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate effectively withpeers, supervisors and clients.
  • Must have at least one year of professional experience.
  • They must hold and maintain a current state license as required with state regulations.
