Job summary

Mueller Environmental Designs is seeking a Shop Lead to oversee daily operations in a production setting. You will coordinate a team of workers, assist management with hands-on tasks, and ensure workflows meet project deadlines. Reports to the Shop Manager.

The role emphasizes safety, quality control, and effective communication to keep production on schedule in a high-pace environment. English proficiency is required for instructions and team coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
• Experience in fabrications of large heavy gauge metal vessels.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Ability to be a part of a team and manage a team to accomplish tasks.
• Knowledge of basic safety practices.
• Knowledge of welding techniques.
• Knowledge of fitting processes.
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).

Physical Requirements and other items to communicate:

The ability to lift 50 pounds or more. Ability to perform essential duties, which require the employee to stand regularly, walk and reach with hands and arms while operating various pieces of equipment. Specific visual abilities require close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus to inspect quality of work and close measurements. Work in a high-pace manufacturing environment.
