FleetPride is the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. This role supervises shop operations, including equipment, personnel, and work schedules, to drive performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities include reviewing work quality, invoicing, training staff, enforcing policies, and ensuring OSHA compliance while maintaining safety programs and shop equipment for heavy-duty vehicles.

Formación

• Hands-on diesel technician experience.
• Experience leading technicians in a shop.
• Experience counseling technicians on job performance and development.
• Experience improving technician efficiency and productivity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Review work throughout the process and at completion to ensure quality.
• Invoice completed repair orders on the day work finishes.
• Review open repair orders weekly and remove non-current ones.
• Provide on-the-job training and follow up to ensure desired results.
• Communicate with staff and management to ensure procedures are followed and new methods are adopted.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Counsel employees in work activities, growth, and development.
• Ensure shop operates within OSHA standards.
• Ensure safety programs are followed and training completed timely.
• Prepare work orders and invoices for service work per procedures.
• Ensure quality of all finished work before it leaves the shop.
• Obtain and maintain shop equipment for proper servicing of heavy-duty vehicles.
• Report work-related injuries to safety via Intellex within 24 hours.

Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop operations managing the overall performance of all areas of the shop: equipment, personnel administration, and work schedules.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review work throughout the work process and at completion, in order to ensure that it has been performed effectively. Manage technician productivity through the use of Productivity reports.
• Invoice all completed Repair orders the day the work is completed.
• Reviews all open repair orders weekly and delete any that are not current.
• Provide on-the-job training whenever necessary and appropriate to employees and follow up to insure desired and expected results are achieved.
• Communicate with employees and management on a regular basis to insure FleetPride and industry acceptable procedures are followed, new procedures and methods are considered and new approved methods or procedures are known and carried out on a timely basis.
• Enforce company policies and procedures, abide by same.
• Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth and career development.
• Be sure that shop is operated within OSHA standards
• Make sure all FleetPride safety programs are followed and training is completes on a timely basis.
• Responsible for preparation of work orders and invoices for service work in accordance with company procedures.
• Responsible for quality of all completed work before it leaves the shop to insure proper work has been done.
• Obtain and maintain shop equipment for proper servicing of heavy duty vehicles.
• Report work-related injuries of shop workers to our safety department via Intellex as soon as possible but never later than 24hrs.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

• Five years combined experience as mechanic, welder and supervisor preferably in the heavy duty truck industry.
