Job summary

Flextronics in Dallas, TX is hiring a Shop Helper (2nd shift) to support structural welding operations. The role reports to the Production Manager and involves prepping, grinding, sanding, and cleaning sheet metal and steel, plus assisting machine operators and welders to complete fabrication tasks.

Typical duties include material cutting, loading/unloading on machines, keeping the work area safe and orderly, and performing related tasks as assigned. The shift is Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or related field.
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance and safety management.

Responsibilities

• Cut material in preparation for fabrication or processing.
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter using hand scrapers or grinders.
• Assist machine operators (press brake, punch press, and laser) with loading/unloading items.
• Assist welders with structural welds by holding materials in place.
• Transport raw materials, finished products, tools, or equipment between work areas on the production floor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; perform related duties as assigned.
