Job summary

Super Products in Elkridge, Maryland, is seeking a Shop Helper to diagnose, repair, inspect, and maintain truck-mounted vacuum equipment in the shop and in the field, ensuring fleet equipment meets DOT and OEM standards for safe, reliable operation.

Under the direction of the Service Manager, you will perform PM inspections, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, read schematics, and help keep equipment ready to rent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum three years of verifiable mechanic experience.
• Experience with truck-mounted vacuum equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic schematics and perform DOT inspections.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air and water systems.
• Conduct repairs to DOT or OEM standards to return rental equipment to Ready to Rent.
• Perform and document 'check in' and 'check out' inspections of fleet equipment.
• Maintain and organize shop and storage areas with proper storage of flammable items.
