FM Industries, Inc. is seeking a full-time janitorial worker in Tempe, AZ. This role supports all shop-floor areas with cleaning and basic maintenance tasks to keep the facility safe and orderly.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, trash management, minor repairs, and reporting needs to the Maintenance Manager. A high school diploma or GED is required and prior janitorial experience is preferred.

• Previous janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primarily cleans shop.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways and office space.
• Maintain all trash receptacles.
• Perform minor maintenance (painting, plumbing, etc.).
• Replace air conditioning filters.
• Notify Maintenance Manager of repairs or lighting or HVAC needs.
• General maintenance of facility (windows, sidewalks, lavatories).
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

DESCRIPTION:

To help in all areas of the shop floor, from basic janitorial duties to preventative maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Primarily cleans shop
• Responsible for sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming hallways and office space
• Responsible for maintaining all trash receptacles
• Maintain building, by performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, and other related maintenance activities
• Replace air conditioning filters
• Notify Maintenance Manager concerning the need for repairs or additional lighting, heating and ventilating equipment
• General maintenance of facility including, but not limited to, sidewalks windows, lavatories
• Perform additional related duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Previous janitorial experience preferred

• None

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Ability to speak and understand basic English communication
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to comprehend and follow basic direction and instructions
