Albina Co., Inc. is hiring a dependable Shop Helper/General Laborer to support our production team in a hands-on manufacturing setting. The role offers opportunities to learn, operate equipment, and advance within the company.

Responsibilities include material handling, assisting machine operators, and basic shop tasks while following safety procedures. Prior manufacturing or construction experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Dependable and punctual with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and perform basic math.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing setting with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, yard, and equipment.
• Assist with material handling, cutting, grinding, end finishing, and packaging of completed jobs.
• Assist machine operators with production and metal bending processes.
• Learn to operate shop machinery, including saws, drill presses, threading, flaring, and facing machines.
• Operate forklifts and other mobile lift equipment upon completion of required training.
• Perform basic measurements, calculations, and equipment maintenance as skills develop.
