Job summary

Southwest Steel Buildings is seeking a hands-on shop associate to learn operating shop machines safely and support production. You will work with team members to fill orders, measure materials, and load customers as needed, with hours Monday through Friday, 7:30–4:30.

Responsibilities include operating machines, verifying measurements, assisting in various shop areas, and safely handling forklift and crane. You must be dependable, honest, and able to pass a background check and drug screening.

• Learn safe operation of shop machines.

Job description

This person will be responsible for learning to operate the different machines in the shop safely, work with other Team Members, plus help fill orders and load customers as needed. Hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 - 4:30.

Responsibilities

• Become knowledgeable of machines and how to safely operate
• Properly measure materials against work order to ensure machines running accurately
• Help in other areas of shop as needed
• Safely operate fork lift & crane
• Remain teachable about machinery and time management
• Ensure paperwork is complete and accurate
• Available to load/unload trucks as needed
