Job summary

Superior Van & Mobility Llc is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead the service team. You’ll supervise daily workflows, review work orders, allocate jobs, and ensure parts and information are available for technicians.

You’ll also train staff, maintain a safe shop, and coordinate with leadership to keep operations efficient. You will serve as a primary customer contact, delivering friendly service and staying current on mobility products and equipment.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years automotive industry experience.
  • High school diploma; technical training a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong mechanical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Shop and direct the daily workload for Service Technicians.
  • Review upcoming work orders and keep the next day’s schedule prepared.
  • Distribute jobs and ensure technicians have parts and information needed.
  • Assist in supervising, supporting, and training technicians.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized and productive shop environment.
  • Work with the General Manager to keep service operations running smoothly.
  • Take care of customers by providing professional, knowledgeable service.

We’re looking for an experienced Shop Foreman to help lead our service team and keep our shop running safely, efficiently, and at its best.If you’re an experienced automotive professional who enjoys leading a team, solving problems, working with customers, and still getting your hands dirty when needed, this could be the opportunity for you.As Our Shop Foreman, You’ll:Lead the ShopDirect and prioritize the daily workload for Service TechniciansReview upcoming work orders and help ensure the shop is prepared for the next day’s scheduleDistribute jobs and verify that technicians have the parts and information needed to complete their work efficientlyAssist in supervising, supporting, and training techniciansHelp maintain a clean, safe, organized, and productive shop environmentWork closely with the General Manager to keep service operations running smoothly and efficientlyTake Care of Our CustomersServe as a key point of contact for service customers from the beginning to the end of their service experienceListen to customer concerns and help determine their service and repair needsProvide professional, knowledgeable, and friendly customer serviceStay current on new mobility products, features, and accessories and communicate their benefits to customersKeep Work MovingPrepare work orders and identify parts needed for upcoming jobsAssist with service scheduling to help maximize shop productivity and billed hoursCoordinate with the Office Administrator and General Manager regarding parts, scheduling, and customer needsAssist with inventory control, including organization, audits, ordering, receiving, and shop suppliesEnsure parts are properly accounted for and available to technicians when neededWork with the General Manager to prepare used vehicles for saleStep In as a Technician When NeededAs Shop Foreman, you’ll lead the team—but you’ll also be ready to jump in and help when needed. This may include:Diagnosing mechanical or equipment issuesInstalling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing adaptive mobility equipmentWorking with driving aids, restraint systems, wheelchair lifts, and other mobility equipmentCompleting repairs and installations according to company and National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) standardsDocumenting problems, repairs, and corrective actions accuratelyWhat We’re Looking ForOur ideal Shop Foreman is someone who can lead by example. You’re organized enough to manage the flow of the shop, technically skilled enough to support your technicians, and personable enough to communicate confidently with customers.You’ll also bring:3–5 years of automotive industry experienceHigh school diploma; additional education or technical training is a plusValid driver’s licenseStrong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple jobs, priorities, and people at the same timeStrong written and verbal communication skillsA team-oriented attitude and the ability to lead with professionalism, tact, and respectA commitment to providing an outstanding customer experiencePhysical & Work RequirementsThis is an active, hands-on position. Candidates should be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work in and around vehicles for extended periods. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may involve occasional exposure to outdoor conditions, shop noise, and typical automotive service environments.
