Qualifications

• Must be able to work 2nd shift, overtime, and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance for shop employees
• Adhere to and enforce all company policies
• Manage all aspects of the fabrication shop, including personnel, equipment, tools, materials
• Update and maintain the production schedule
• Update and maintain the fabrication schedule
• Coordinate and schedule deliveries
• Establish and publish standard fabrication procedures
• Maintain high quality standards and QC procedures to ensure customers get a quality product on time
• Continually evaluate production procedures to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and quality
• Communicate with other departments to ensure project schedules are met
• Maintain all equipment and buildings as applicable and necessary
• Communicate with other departments and facilities regarding product status, quality, and delivery
• Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Make decisions that protect the best interests of the company
• Maintain a balanced workload in the shop and provide feedback to Regional Fabrication Operations Manager as needed
• Maintain inventory levels as needed and discussed with the First Shift Foreman, Regional Fabrication Operations Manager and Purchasing
• Determine work hours as needed to maintain delivery schedules

ABOUT THIS POSITION:

The 2nd Shift Fitting & Welding Shop Foreman is responsible for directing and coordinating daily performance, fabrication and production activities during the second shift. This position provides hands-on leadership to shop personnel, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and production schedules.
