Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group in Greensboro, NC is seeking a skilled Body Shop Foreman to lead the service team in our heavy‑duty truck operation. The role focuses on supervising technicians, managing workflow, and upholding quality and safety standards across the shop.

You will coordinate daily activities, ensure timely repairs, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

• Prior Shop Foreman experience within trucking industry preferred.
• Prior management or supervisory experience required.
• Strong leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Updates advisors on progress of trucks
• Ensures quality control inspections are conducted and passed
• Makes questionable warranty decisions
• Determines warranty coverage
• Maintains repair comebacks to a minimum
• Becomes involved in complex and difficult repairs
• Enlists help from district service managers on complex and difficult repairs
• Coordinates technicians work volume every day
• Assigns technicians work every day
• Dispatches work every day
• Assists technicians to reach productivity and efficiency goals
• Disciplines technicians
• Helps team leaders develop leadership skills
• Ensures safety compliance, conducts safety meetings and trainings
• Ensures shop complies with all local, state and federal safety regulations
• Performs shop walk around to ensure shop and facility are safe and secure
• Ensures cleanliness of the shop
• Ensures organization of the shop
