Job summary

Ironclad Powered by Mersino is seeking a Shop Foreman to manage maintenance and repair of our rental fleet. You will lead technicians, assign tasks, and uphold safety and quality standards to ensure equipment is ready for customers.

The role requires 5+ years in equipment maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, strong leadership, and solid diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of equipment maintenance and repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of technicians and mechanics.

• Provide ongoing training, guidance, and support to team members to enhance their skills.
• Oversee and participate in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of rental equipment, including diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained to meet safety standards and is rental-ready.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies required for repairs and maintenance.
• Manage the ordering process to ensure adequate inventory and minimize downtime.
• Track equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and service history.
• Enforce quality control procedures to ensure all repairs and maintenance meet company standards.
• Conduct final inspections of equipment before returning it to service.
• Address and resolve customer complaints or issues related to equipment performance.
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety training and enforce safe work practices within the shop.
• Maintain accurate safety records, including inspections and any incidents.
• Collaborate with rental and operations departments to prioritize equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Communicate equipment status, repair timelines, and any potential delays to the operations team.
• Prepare regular reports on shop activities, equipment conditions, and team performance.

About the Job
