Moon Star Express is seeking an experienced, hands-on Shop Foreman to lead daily maintenance operations and supervise our technician team at our commercial fleet terminal in Belleville, MI. In this role, you will oversee shop workflow, guide technicians through complex repairs, and ensure our equipment operates safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily workflow for shop technicians, prioritizing work orders and unscheduled repairs.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on commercial semi-trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty fleet equipment.
• Conduct quality control inspections on completed work to uphold strict safety and DOT compliance standards.
• Mentor and train entry-level and intermediate technicians to elevate overall shop performance.
• Manage parts inventory, track repair orders, and communicate maintenance statuses with fleet dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant shop environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on commercial fleet or heavy-duty diesel repair experience.
• Leadership: Prior experience in a shop lead, foreman, or supervisory role (or proven readiness to step up).
• Technical Skills: Proficient with computer diagnostics, electronic troubleshooting, air brake systems, and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Tools: Must possess a complete set of personal professional mechanics' hand and pneumatic tools.
• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
