ST Engineering MRAS in Middle River, Maryland is seeking a hands-on R&D Manufacturing Engineer to join our Advanced Technology team. The ideal candidate will develop and improve manufacturing methods and tooling while collaborating with technicians on the shop floor. Experience in composite materials and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field are key requirements.

The role offers competitive pay ranging from $92,000 to $138,100 per year along with extensive benefits including medical coverage and 401k options.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as NX, CATIA, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated interest in hands-on manufacturing or prototype development.
• Effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and evaluate prototype parts, tooling and manufacturing demonstrators.
• Operate and support manufacturing equipment.
• Work directly on the shop floor to develop and refine manufacturing processes.
• Design, build and modify tooling, fixtures, jigs and assembly aids.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues.
