Leidos’ Defense Systems Manufacturing is seeking a Shop Floor Expeditor to join our Platform Integration team that is standardizing production processes across multiple sites in North Alabama.
The Shop Floor Expeditor serves as the execution arm of the Production Control organization by ensuring manufacturing orders (MOs) flow efficiently through production from release to completion. This position provides daily shop floor support by coordinating with production, inventory, planning, scheduling, quality, engineering, and purchasing to identify and remove execution barriers before they impact delivery commitments.
Working at the intersection of production planning and manufacturing execution, the Shop Floor Expeditor continuously monitors released manufacturing orders for material shortages, routing delays, aging operations, transaction accuracy, and schedule adherence. The position leverages Costpoint, Dynafact, Solumina, and/or Power BI reports to identify execution risks while maintaining a strong physical presence on the manufacturing floor to verify system information and facilitate timely issue resolution.
This role is responsible for maintaining the feedback loop between shop floor execution and production planning and scheduling by ensuring manufacturing status is accurately reflected within enterprise systems and communicating emerging risks that may require planning or scheduling adjustments.

Pay Range $45,500.00 - $82,250.00
